How do I win partners, sponsors, and supporters for my idea? That\u2019s\nwhat pitching is for. Pitching refers to a very brief, inviting, and focused\npresentation of your project \u2013 like throwing a ball to someone (to\npitch). Ideally, aim for the heart (emotions) rather than the head (logic),\nbecause decisions about whether to trust a team to implement their idea\nand offer support are often made based on gut feeling. A pitch should\ntherefore be catchy and sticky. To achieve this, you need to put yourself\nin the shoes of the person you want to win over. The key principle is: the\nbait must appeal to the fish, not the angler.\nAt the end of a camp, you could, for example, invite participants to\na pitching show, where teams present their previously developed\nideas to other participants and often also to special guests (e.g.,\nfrom funding organizations or intermediaries). A playful situation is\noften created for this, such as an elevator pitch or market day pitch.\nIn these scenarios, you imagine meeting the person you want\nto win over next \u2013 whether in an elevator or at a market. You\nhave 30 seconds to make your case! It\u2019s a challenge, but it\u2019s an\nopportunity to learn how to distill your message so effectively\nin a short time that the other person wants to hear more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
