The House Parliaments, an innovative format of citizen consultation developed by Dr. Fuhrmann and further developed with Pulse of Europe, are entering a new round in 2021. Through a partnership with OpenPetition, an online platform is being introduced where citizens, politicians, and organizations can independently initiate House Parliaments on topics ranging from local to EU level.
Amidst the COVID-19 crisis, there is an opportunity to discuss the future of European solidarity in areas such as economics, social justice, and climate change. Participants from various European countries, including Germany, Austria, Portugal, France, and the Netherlands, can participate.
Prominent European politicians, including the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will take note of the discussion results and respond accordingly. The House Parliaments can convene until November 22, 2020, both in-person and online.
