The Akademie lernende Demokratie develops and promotes the vision of a democracy that learns faster and better than problems become threatening.
It was launched in 2017 as a collaboration between Democracy International and the Procedere Network for Procedural Practice – in close cooperation with the Global Ethic Institute at the University of Tübingen and the ReformAgency.
Its work is based on three pillars:
- Researching, developing, and testing democracy innovations.
- Passing on competencies through training, seminars, etc., necessary for democracy development.
- Informing and advocating for the Learning Democracy.
